A crew of five took to static bikes to cover as much mileage as we could in an hour. It was part of a stunt to complete an ultra triathlon comprising of swimming the equivelent of the English Channel, biking the Tour de France and running two London Marathons, all in 48hours. The swimming and running was completed within the first 24 hours which left 2400 miles to cover on static bikes. We started on a cold Saturday morning with 450 miles left for people to complete and six hours to go. We lined up for our stint in the saddle. All in the race T-Shirts, of course! |

![]() As 20minutes wore on, the gloves came off.(and so did John's shirt and cap!) Phil was mugging to the camera. Funny how Andy Watson still looks the same.... |

![]() As 45 minutes passed, Phils face had become stuck when the wind changed, though it had blown his shirt off as well! John had stripped more but had passed 20 miles on the bike. Andy B had realised at this point the pain I was putting him through and focusing on the bacon butty after. A real "I am not amused" look if there ever was one! Funny how Andy Watson still looks the same.... I am a bit worried now. |

Okay, so my top was off as well,
but it was hot! We finally all completed our hour and had covered 135 miles between
us on those bikes. A lot of stiff legs and sore backsides after. My thanks to the crew and hope
you appreciate the gallery! |
